HB 5351 Summary

• Amends the Michigan Liquor Control Act (1998 PA 58) by modifying section 111's definitions related to alcoholic beverage licensing and regulation.

• Adds definition of "successor to a supplier that continues in business" as a supplier that acquires a brand or brands from another supplier while remaining in business, applicable to brewers, outstate beer sellers, master distributors, wine makers, and outstate wine sellers.

• Adds definition of "supplier of spirits" as a vendor, manufacturer, or primary source of supply of spirits.

• Effective July 1, 2020, contingent on enactment of 15 related bills (HB 5341-5355 and HB 5400) during the 100th Legislature.
