HB 5353 Summary

• Eliminates the requirement that beer sold in a growler must have received a registration number from the Liquor and Cannabis Regulatory Agency, effective July 1, 2020.

• Exempts brewpubs and micro brewers/brewers from growler labeling and registration requirements when selling their own manufactured beer.

• Allows eligible merchants (specially designated merchant licensees) to fill and sell growlers with beer for off-premises consumption under specified conditions including proper labeling and food service establishment compliance.

• Contingent on enactment of 15 companion bills (HB 5341-5355 and HB 5400) from the 100th Legislature as a tie-bar provision.
