Amends section 22 of the Fire Prevention Code (1941 PA 207) to clarify penalties for violations of the act, including misdemeanor charges and civil fines of $200.00 for firms or vehicles operating in violation that create fire hazards.

Specifies that civil fines collected must be deposited into the state general fund.

Establishes that board members who intentionally violate open meetings requirements are subject to penalties under the Open Meetings Act (1976 PA 267).

States that boards arbitrarily and capriciously violating freedom of information requirements are subject to penalties under the Freedom of Information Act (1976 PA 442).

Allows labelled fire door assemblies with temporary door locking devices installed under section 1d of 1937 PA 306 to comply with fire code requirements without violating the act, contingent on enactment of House Bills 4689 and 5503.
