• Allows the department to temporarily suspend strict compliance with annual vehicle inspections, ambulance staffing requirements, and ongoing education verification for EMS personnel during the declared emergency period.

• Permits ambulance operations to downgrade vehicle life support levels based on available staffing without notifying the department, and allows expired EMS licenses and basic cardiac life support certifications to remain valid until 6 months after the emergency declaration ends.

• Authorizes the department to waive licensure standard equivalency requirements and grant licenses to out-of-state EMS personnel without meeting normal requirements during the emergency period.

• Allows electronic communication for notice of license denial, revocation, or suspension, and permits transport of patients to any medical control authority-designated destination during the emergency.
