Effective October 1, 2020, shifts circuit judge salaries to be fully funded by the state at 85% of Michigan Supreme Court justice salary as of December 31, 2015, eliminating county funding requirements for the base salary.

Effective October 1, 2020, shifts probate judge salaries for judges covered under section 821 to be fully funded by the state at 85% of Michigan Supreme Court justice salary as of December 31, 2015, eliminating the prior cost-sharing arrangement with counties.

Effective October 1, 2020, establishes probate judges not covered under section 821 receive a minimum annual salary payable by the state equal to their 2019-2020 fiscal year earnings, with counties able to provide additional supplemental salary.

Effective October 1, 2020, shifts district judge salaries to be fully funded by the state at 84% of Michigan Supreme Court justice salary as of December 31, 2015, eliminating the prior cost-sharing arrangement with district funding units.

All salary levels continue to include automatic adjustments based on compounded pay increases granted to state civil service executives and administrators on or after January 1, 2016.
