Allows any individual generally competent to be a witness to serve as a will witness, except as otherwise provided in the section.

Signing of a will by an interested witness does not invalidate the will or any of its provisions.

Prohibits non-devisees from acting as witnesses to a will; individuals who are devisees under the will cannot serve as witnesses.

Voids any devise (bequest of real property) to a devisee who signs as a witness to the will.

Makes these restrictions applicable only to wills executed after the effective date of this act, with wills executed before that date remaining unaffected.
