Replaces gender-specific language "husband and wife" with gender-neutral "spouses" throughout 1925 PA 126 (MCL 557.81).

Provides that when spouses holding property as tenancy by the entirety sell land and accept a note or mortgage as part payment, the debt and mortgage pass to the surviving spouse upon one spouse's death.

Extends the same survivorship rights to land contracts for property held as tenancy by the entirety, applying the same provisions that apply to mortgages.

Specifies that the mortgage title vests in the survivor and the full debt with interest becomes payable to the survivor unless the mortgage states otherwise.

Effectiveness is conditional on ratification of Senate Joint Resolution _____ or House Joint Resolution T (request no. 02690'19) by the state constitution.
