Amends the 1942 firefighter compensation act to update references to the 1969 Worker's Disability Compensation Act, changing the citation format from "Act No. 317 of the Public Acts of 1969, being sections 418.101 to 418.941 of the Michigan Compiled Laws" to "1969 PA 317, MCL 418.101 to 418.941."

Makes gender-neutral language changes to compensation eligibility provisions by replacing "mother, father, or both" with "parent or parents" and replacing "brothers and sisters" with "siblings."

Maintains existing compensation structure providing $500 for burial expenses and disability compensation equivalent to workers' compensation benefits for surviving spouses, dependents, and estates of firefighters killed in the line of duty outside their jurisdiction.

Takes effect only if Senate Joint Resolution ____ or House Joint Resolution T of the 100th Legislature becomes part of the Michigan Constitution of 1963.
