• Long-term care facilities (assisted living facilities, adult foster care facilities, homes for the aged, and nursing homes) must submit daily reports to the Department of Health and Human Services containing COVID-19 data.

• Required data includes cumulative COVID-19 cases, deaths, and recoveries among residents and staff; test numbers; demographic information (age, ethnicity, race, gender); hospital transfers; medical supply availability; and isolation bed counts.

• The department must compile and submit weekly reports to the house and senate standing committees on health policy until the COVID-19 pandemic ceases to be a state of emergency or disaster.

• Violations carry civil fines of up to $500 per violation or per day of non-compliance.

• The department may adopt rules to implement the act under the administrative procedures act.
