• Amends the County Boards of Commissioners Act (1851 PA 156) to transition public notice requirements from newspaper publication to the local government public notice act, effective January 1, 2022.

• Modifies Section 9 to allow county boards to post full or synopsis reports of proceedings online under the local government public notice act instead of publishing in newspapers, while maintaining current methods until January 1, 2022.

• Updates Section 11 to require ordinances and acts of incorporation take effect when posted as public notice under the local government public notice act rather than when published in newspapers, beginning January 1, 2022.

• Revises Section 15 to replace four-week newspaper publication requirements for notices of intended applications with posting of public notice under the local government public notice act, effective January 1, 2022.

• Contains a tie-bar provision making the act contingent on enactment of either Senate Bill or House Bill 6440 of the 100th Legislature.
