• Replaces "shall" with "must" throughout Section 252g regarding public sales of abandoned vehicles for consistency in legal language.

• Adds requirement beginning January 1, 2022 for police agencies to post public notice of abandoned vehicle auctions in the county as provided under the local government public notice act, in addition to newspaper publication.

• Allows notice requirements to be satisfied by posting a single notice of abandoned vehicle auction on a website with complete vehicle descriptions for at least 5 consecutive days before the auction date.

• Moves the definition of "complete description" (model year, manufacturer make, model name, and vehicle identification number) to a new subsection (7) for clarity.

• Takes effect only if Senate Bill No. ____ or House Bill No. 6440 is enacted into law.
