Recognizes the 2020 World Water Day theme connecting water and sustainable management of natural resources with climate change.

Acknowledges Michigan's water resources including the largest freshwater coastline in the United States, more than 11,000 inland lakes, and the Great Lakes which contain over 20 percent of the world's freshwater supply.

Commits the legislature to ensuring clean affordable drinking water is available to all Michiganders and promoting public awareness to prevent water pollution and depletion.

Emphasizes Michigan's duty to protect its natural resources and water for current and future generations.
