States that overall firearm deer season fatalities and injuries have been trending downward for over 30 years, with only 14 incidents from 2017-2019 and only one involving a hunter in a blind who accidentally shot themselves.

Argues the orange blind requirement would not have prevented the one blind-related incident and places unnecessary burden on hunters with little relevance to accident reduction.

Claims the proposal is a government overreach that could violate private property owners' rights and increase theft of portable blinds on public lands.

Directs copies of the resolution be sent to members of the Michigan Natural Resources Commission, the DNR Director, and the Governor.
