Calls on the President and Congress to extend the Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC) program beyond its July 31 expiration date.

Notes that the FPUC provides an additional $600 per week to unemployed workers and comprises the vast majority of benefits for Michigan's unemployment claimants.

States that allowing FPUC to expire would devastate Michigan families by reducing spending power by over 60 percent and forcing difficult choices about food and housing.

Warns that loss of FPUC benefits is estimated to cost more than 5 million jobs nationwide over the next year, including approximately 195,000 jobs in Michigan.

Directs the Michigan House to transmit copies of this resolution to the President, Congress, and Michigan's congressional delegation.
