Urges Congress to enact legislation protecting nursing home residents and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, citing over 240,000 COVID-19 cases and 50,000 deaths in long-term care facilities representing 40-45% of all U.S. COVID-19 deaths.

Calls for nursing homes to implement policies ensuring adequate staffing, COVID-19 testing, and personal protective equipment access to prevent cross-contamination between residents and workers.

Specifically endorses the Quality Care for Nursing Home Residents and Workers During COVID-19 Act of 2020 (H.R. 6698 and S. 3644) which would require testing, provide two weeks of paid sick leave to employees, and mandate daily reporting of COVID-19 cases and deaths.

Requests federal funding from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid to establish state response teams for rapid deployment when new COVID-19 cases emerge in nursing homes.

Directs transmission of this resolution to the President of the United States Senate, Speaker of the House, and Michigan's congressional delegation.
