Honors Representative Jason M. Sheppard upon concluding his service in the Michigan House of Representatives representing the Fifty-sixth District, encompassing most of Monroe County.

Recognizes Sheppard's background as a commercial real estate agent and snow removal business owner for 17 years, plus service on the Monroe County Commission for two terms before election to House in 2014.

Acknowledges his committee service including chairing the Government Operations Committee and serving as vice chair of Elections and Ethics and Commerce and Trade committees, plus participation in 11 additional committees.

Credits Sheppard with sponsoring enacted legislation to secure jobs in Monroe County, reform auto insurance, and address the opioid crisis during his three-term tenure.
