Establishes a permanent Family Advisory Board within the Department of Corrections consisting of 11-16 members, including currently and formerly incarcerated individuals' family members, the legislative corrections ombudsman, and social workers specializing in mental health.

Requires the board to hold at least 2 public informational meetings annually in different regions of the state for families and the public to provide comments on incarceration-related issues.

Board duties include providing feedback on family reunification policies, developing supportive programs, enhancing communication between the department and families, and identifying barriers to family reunification during and after incarceration.

Requires the board to file an annual report by October 1 to legislative committees with chairs overseeing the department and criminal justice issues.

Directs the department to provide necessary staffing and publish information about the board's contact information in correctional facility waiting rooms and on its website.
