Exempts K-12 schools from heating requirements for interior viewing areas at outdoor sporting events with a total area of 500 square feet or less, including press boxes.

Exempts K-12 schools from heating requirements for buildings, structures, or rooms incidental to outdoor sporting activities, such as ticket booths, concession stands, participant meeting rooms, and restroom facilities.

Requires that if heating is installed in any exempt space, the heating system must comply fully with state construction code and heating requirements.

Does not apply to existing interior spaces, buildings, or structures that were in place before the effective date of this amendment.
