Department must annually compile and submit to legislature an alphabetically arranged list of sites receiving state funds for response activities.

When state funds exceed $500,000 at a facility without achieving residential cleanup criteria compliance, department must provide public notice including advertisements in ethnic-minority-owned media.

Department must notify county and local government within 30 days of completing remedial investigation and provide opportunity for public meeting; if governing body or 25 citizens request a meeting, department must meet within 30 days.

For remedial action plans using categorical or site-specific criteria with significant public interest, department must publish notice, allow public review and comment, conduct a public meeting at or near the facility, and provide a summary of how public concerns are addressed.

Publication must include local newspapers and ethnic-minority-owned media, with administrative records made available for public inspection at or near the facility and in Lansing.
