Amends Michigan Penal Code Section 556 to prohibit employers from discriminating in wage payment between individuals of different sexes who are similarly employed.

Removes outdated language regarding restrictions on female workers' tasks, strength-based assignments, and employment conditions related to health or motherhood.

Establishes graduated misdemeanor fines for wage discrimination violations based on employer size: up to $5,000 for employers with 1-15 employees, up to $10,000 for 16-50 employees, and up to $20,000 for employers with more than 50 employees.

Allows wage rate differences based on factors other than sex without violating the statute.

Takes effect 90 days after enactment into law.
