• Protects individuals making contacts to authorities if they are victims of abuse or crime, or reasonably believe someone in an emergency needs assistance.

• Allows sanctioned parties to file civil lawsuits seeking cease and desist orders, compensatory damages, attorney fees, court costs, and license reinstatement.

• Takes effect 90 days after enactment; does not affect lease terminations for unlawful drug manufacturing, delivery, or possession on rental premises.
