Provides liability immunity for school administrators, teachers, and designated school employees who administer medication to pupils with written parental permission and physician instructions, except for gross negligence or willful/wanton misconduct.

Extends broader immunity protections to school employees administering epinephrine auto-injectors under school policies, requiring only protection against willful or wanton misconduct (not gross negligence).

Allows licensed registered professional nurses employed by schools to administer medications or epinephrine auto-injectors without requiring another adult to be present.

Shields school districts, nonpublic schools, school board members, and nonpublic school directors/officers from criminal and civil liability for injuries or damages arising from medication administration under this section.

Became effective immediately upon Governor approval on December 29, 2020.
