• Temporarily suspends fingerprinting requirements for employment and clinical privileges at covered facilities during the COVID-19 state of emergency declared under Executive Order 2020-30.

• Allows hospitals of any size in any location to obtain waivers of licensure requirements during the states of emergency and disaster declared under Executive Order 2020-49 for constructing, acquiring, or operating temporary or mobile health care facilities.

• Permits the department to grant temporary certified nurse aide registrations for 28 days without requiring completion of competency examinations during the declared emergencies, renewable until the emergencies end.

• Authorizes the department to defer strict compliance with procedural requirements when issuing emergency certificates of need during the states of emergency and disaster declared under Executive Order 2020-49.

• Makes various technical corrections throughout the sections, including changing "shall" to "must," "upon" to "on," and "good faith" to "good-faith" for consistency with modern drafting standards.
