SB 915 Summary

• Grants circuit court jurisdiction to foreclose mortgages and land contracts held by the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA).

• Prohibits courts from entering foreclosure judgments or advancing foreclosure actions if prohibited under the emergency rental relief act.

• Prohibits MSHDA from proceeding with foreclosure by advertisement or instructing others to do so if prohibited by the emergency rental relief act.

• Allows persons aggrieved by violations of foreclosure prohibitions to sue for injunctive relief and recover costs, expenses, and attorney fees.

• Takes effect only if Senate Bill 912 of the 100th Legislature is enacted into law.
