Adds Section 895 to the Worker's Disability Compensation Act to shield employers from workers' compensation claims for COVID-19 exposures that occur during employment when the employer followed applicable federal or state safety guidelines.

Exempts employers from compensation liability if the employee's COVID-19 exposure occurred while the employer was in compliance with relevant federal statutes, regulations, executive orders, or public health guidance from CDC, OSHA, or Michigan state health agencies.

Does not apply to personal injuries resulting from intentional torts by the employer as defined in the existing act.

Applies retroactively to all COVID-19 exposures occurring after March 11, 2020, and through the duration of the declared state of emergency.

Clarifies that the provision does not create new claims, eliminate required elements of existing claims, or affect other immunities or liability limitations under law.
