Prohibits possession of firearms on the premises of depository financial institutions, churches, courts, theatres, sports arenas, day care centers, hospitals, and establishments licensed under the Michigan liquor code.

Adds the Michigan State Capitol Building to the list of locations where firearms are prohibited.

Exempts security personnel employed by covered entities, peace officers, concealed weapons licensees, and persons with owner permission from the firearm prohibition.

Establishes a misdemeanor penalty of up to 90 days imprisonment or a $100 fine for violations.

Takes effect only if Senate Bill No. 1158 of the 100th Legislature is enacted into law.
