Requires law enforcement agencies to notify sexual assault victims in writing before destroying or disposing of sexual assault kit evidence, prior to expiration of applicable statute of limitations.

Mandates initial written notice to the victim not less than 60 days before evidence destruction or disposal.

Requires a second written notice to the victim not less than 30 days and not more than 60 days before the evidence is destroyed or disposed of.

Applies only when destruction does not conflict with other evidence retention requirements under MCL 770.16.
