Noted his reputation for maintaining collegial relationships across party lines, personal compassion shown through public reminders to loved ones following his wife Angela's death in 2013, and deep commitment to communities in Detroit, Dearborn, and Melvindale.

Directs copies of the resolution be sent to the Hood family as expression of the Legislature's esteem for his memory and contributions to the state.
