Authorizes the Senate Majority Leader to commence legal action on behalf of the Senate challenging the Governor's authority and actions during the COVID-19 pandemic.

References Governor Whitmer's March 10, 2020 Executive Order 2020-4 declaring a state of emergency and April 1, 2020 Executive Order 2020-33 declaring a state of disaster related to COVID-19.

Notes that the Legislature extended the states of emergency and disaster through April 30, 2020 via Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 24 of 2020.

Asserts that without legislative extension, the Governor is statutorily obligated under MCL 30.403 to terminate the states of emergency and disaster on May 1, 2020.

Empowers the Senate Majority Leader to pursue or defend any appeals related to the legal action challenging the Governor's pandemic-related executive authority.
