Amends Michigan's occupational health and safety law (1974 PA 154) to modify civil penalty provisions in Section 35

Reduces penalties assessed against family farm employers who fail to report workplace deaths or injuries within required timeframes by the maximum amount otherwise allowed

Defines "family farm" as a farming operation wholly owned by the operator or family members where more than 50% of employees are family members and no more than 9 non-family employees are hired at any one time

Excludes nonfamily corporations, cooperatives, and farming operations with hired non-family managers from the family farm definition

Maintains existing civil penalty amounts of up to $7,000 for serious violations, non-serious violations, and posting requirement violations, and up to $70,000 for willful or repeated violations
