HB 4069 Summary

• Removes language from MCL 400.105d that allowed the Healthy Michigan program to terminate if federal matching funds fell below 100% and state savings were insufficient to cover the reduced federal match.

• Eliminates subsection (28) which previously made the entire section inapplicable if the department could not obtain required federal waivers or if cost-sharing savings did not exceed the cost of reduced federal funding.

• Renumbers subsequent subsections (29-34) to become subsections (28-33) following the deletion of the termination provision.

• Maintains all other Healthy Michigan program requirements including health plan enrollment, co-pay structures, cost-sharing accounts, pharmaceutical benefits, and performance incentives for health plans and providers.

• Takes effect 90 days after enactment into law.
