Amends Michigan election law to allow candidates for township office to file a $100 nonrefundable filing fee in lieu of submitting nominating petitions signed by qualified electors.

Filing fee payment and candidate certification are governed by the same provisions as nominating petitions, with the deadline of 4 p.m. on the fifteenth Tuesday before the August primary.

Fees collected must be deposited in the township's general fund and used exclusively for the purchase and maintenance of voting equipment.

Township clerk must deliver a list of all qualified candidates to the county clerk within 4 days after the filing deadline, including candidate name, address, political affiliation, and office sought.

Takes effect immediately upon approval (December 27, 2021).
