Adds sexual orientation and gender identity or expression as protected categories under the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act, alongside existing protections for religion, race, color, national origin, age, sex, height, weight, familial status, and marital status.

Expands employment protections to prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity or expression in hiring, compensation, terms and conditions of employment, labor organization membership, apprenticeships, and employment advertising.

Extends public accommodations protections to cover sexual orientation and gender identity or expression in access to goods, services, facilities, and programs, including private clubs.

Applies sexual orientation and gender identity or expression protections to educational institutions, real estate transactions, housing, and financial assistance for real property.

Takes effect 90 days after enactment.
