Incorporates federal regulations 45 CFR 180.20 to 180.60 (effective February 22, 2021) into Michigan law, requiring hospitals to publicly disclose standard charges for items and services.

Mandates hospitals publish a machine-readable file containing all standard charges including gross charges, payer-specific negotiated charges, de-identified minimum and maximum negotiated charges, and discounted cash prices for all items and services.

Requires hospitals to display standard charges for at least 300 shoppable services (70 CMS-specified services plus additional hospital-selected services) in a consumer-friendly format, either as a list or price estimator tool.

Specifies that charge information must be posted online free of charge, without registration or personal information requirements, be searchable, and updated at least annually with clear indication of update dates.

Exempts federally owned or operated hospitals, including Veterans Affairs facilities, Military Treatment Facilities, and Indian Health Program facilities, from these disclosure requirements.
