Adds transit police officers employed by public bodies created under interlocal agreements between cities and metropolitan transportation authorities to the definition of "law enforcement officer" under Michigan law.

Transit police officers must be employed by a public body corporate established pursuant to an interlocal agreement under the urban cooperation act of 1967 and an authority under the metropolitan transportation authorities act of 1967.

Expands the scope of law enforcement personnel who must comply with licensing standards and training requirements set by the Michigan commission on law enforcement standards.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment on July 1, 2021.
