Allows transportation of a juvenile under 18 years old with an adult during custody or detention if both are arrested at the same time for the same offense or both occupied the same vehicle when the offense was committed.

Restricts the adult to be 25 years of age or younger to qualify for joint transportation with the juvenile.

Requires the juvenile to be 16 years of age or older to be transported with an adult.

Mandates that the juvenile be taken directly to the appropriate location and separated from the adult at the earliest available time, maintaining the existing prohibition against confining juveniles with criminal persons.

Takes effect 90 days after enactment into law.
