Amends the child care licensing and regulation act to modify definitions in Section 1 of 1973 PA 116

Defines "child care staff member" as individuals 18 years or older who are employed by or have unsupervised access to children in child care centers, group homes, or family child care homes, or serve as licensee designee or program director

Defines "child caring institution staff member" as individuals 18 years or older employed by, contracted with, or providing services to child caring institutions, including those not working directly with children

Expands definition of "related" to include relationships by blood, marriage, or adoption up to great-great-aunt/uncle and first cousin once removed

Takes effect November 1, 2022, contingent on enactment of House Bill No. 5274
