Removes exemptions that previously allowed certain licensed individuals (retired police officers, security personnel, private investigators, corrections officers, etc.) to carry concealed pistols in prohibited premises including schools, child care facilities, churches, hospitals, and entertainment venues with 2,500+ capacity.

Eliminates the requirement to list prohibited premises on concealed pistol licenses and removes language about exemptions from those prohibitions on the license itself.

Deletes reference to section 226a (switchblade sales/possession) from the list of misdemeanor convictions that disqualify concealed pistol license applicants.

Changes statutory language from "shall" to "must" in various sections for grammatical consistency and updates references to antique firearms from section 231a to section 237a of the Michigan Penal Code.

Maintains concealed pistol licensing requirements, fees ($100 application/licensing fee), background checks, training course completion, and restrictions on carrying in vehicles and other locations.
