Removes the "beginning with pupils entering grade 8 in 2006" and "beginning with pupils entering grade 3 in 2006" language, making Michigan merit standard graduation requirements apply to all current and future pupils.

Changes "shall" to "must" in the online course requirement section for consistency in legal language.

Changes the specialty school designation criteria from requiring schools to meet "all" of the criteria to requiring them to meet "both" of the criteria listed.

Replaces references to "ACT examination" with "applicable state assessment" in specialty school performance requirements.

Adds Armed Forces service as an alternative to postsecondary enrollment for the specialty school graduation rate tracking requirement, defining "Armed Forces of the United States" to include Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Space Force, Coast Guard, and reserve/national guard components.
