Mandates staff training on device use, compliance with emergency operations plans, and that devices be engaged only for finite periods as determined by school administrators.

Allows schools with existing temporary locking devices installed before June 1, 2020 to receive approval by submitting documentation within one year and passing inspection by the enforcing agency.

Exempts schools from requiring construction documents sealed and signed by licensed architects or engineers for temporary door locking device installations.

Specifies that devices must remain portable, not modify door closure or panic hardware, be openable from outside with a tool or key, and not be installed on doors leading outside from corridors.
