Prohibits employers from discharging, refusing to hire, or otherwise discriminating against individuals based on a known or believed illness or health condition of a family member.

Prohibits employers from inquiring about the physical condition or health status of an employee's family members, with exceptions for verifying eligibility for sick leave, family and medical leave, or processing health coverage claims.

Prohibits retaliation or discrimination against individuals who testify, assist, participate in investigations, or oppose violations of this act.

Allows injured persons to bring civil actions for injunctive relief and damages, with courts awarding costs and reasonable attorney fees to prevailing plaintiffs.

Prohibits employers from requiring employees to waive rights under this act; any such waivers are invalid and unenforceable.
