Establishes licensure requirements for music therapists, including a bachelor's degree or higher in music therapy from an accredited program approved by the American Music Therapy Association and current certification from the Certification Board for Music Therapists.

Sets licensing fees at $75.00 for application processing and $148.00 annually for the license, which is valid for 4 years.

Defines the practice of music therapy as clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals, including assessment, treatment planning, implementation, and evaluation, but excludes screening or diagnosis of physical, mental, or communication disorders.

Requires the Board of Music Therapy and Department to consult regarding rules governing licensure, registration, renewals, examinations, and passing scores, rather than allowing either entity to promulgate such rules independently.
