Removes the prohibition on carrying concealed daggers, dirks, stilettos, double-edged stabbing instruments, and other dangerous weapons, eliminating the first subsection of MCL 750.227.

Modifies concealed pistol carry restrictions to apply only to carrying concealed on or about a person, removing the prior prohibition on carrying concealed or otherwise in a vehicle.

Reduces the felony penalty for violating concealed carry restrictions from a maximum of 5 years imprisonment and $2,500 fine to a maximum of 2 years imprisonment and $1,000 fine.

Clarifies that the revised MCL 750.227 exceptions apply to the modified concealed carry provisions through changes to MCL 750.231a.

Changes the requirements for transporting pistols in vehicles from "and" to "if" conditions regarding unloaded status and closed case storage in trunks or non-trunk vehicles.
