• Amends MCL 777.16m to reduce the sentencing classification for carrying a concealed weapon from Class E (5 years maximum) to Class G (2 years maximum)

• Changes the statutory maximum penalty for concealed weapons violation under MCL 750.227 from 5 years to 2 years imprisonment

• Updates the sentencing guidelines table in Chapter XVII of the Code of Criminal Procedure to reflect the new classification and penalty structure
