Creates evidentiary privilege protecting confidential communications between human trafficking victims and victim service agency staff from being admitted as evidence in civil or criminal proceedings without the victim's prior written consent

Protects reports, working papers, and statements contained within them that are given or made in connection with consultations between trafficking victims and counselors

Confidentiality privilege is not waived by the presence of other individuals necessary to effectuate the communication

Defines "human trafficking victim support agency" as offices, shelters, safe houses, or entities offering crisis intervention, shelter, advocacy, legal services, or supportive counseling to trafficking victims and their families

Applies to human trafficking as defined under MCL 750.448 to 750.462 and 750.462a to 750.462h of the Michigan Penal Code
