HB 6141 Summary

• Appropriates $11,000,000 in state general fund/general purpose revenue for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2022 to supplement various state departments and agencies.

• All $11,000,000 is allocated to the Department of Health and Human Services for essential local public health services, distributed as one-time appropriations.

• Funds must reimburse local health departments for allowable health services including immunizations, infectious disease control, sexually transmitted disease prevention, hearing and vision screenings.

• Allowable services include food protection (in consultation with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development) and public water supply and sewage management services (in consultation with the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy).

• Requires all appropriations and departments to comply with the Management and Budget Act, 1984 PA 431, MCL 18.1101 to 18.1594.
