MI HB6160

Adds Section 1296 to the 1956 Insurance Code authorizing the director to enforce violations by vendors, employees, or authorized representatives regarding portable electronics insurance.

Director may impose administrative fines up to $500 per violation, with aggregate fines capped at $5,000 for multiple violations involving the same conduct, action, or practice.

Director may suspend a vendor's limited line portable electronics insurance producer license after notice and hearing.

Director may suspend or revoke the ability of individual employees or authorized representatives to act under the vendor's license.

Act becomes effective only if all related bills (HB 6158, 6155, 6162, 6156, 6163, 6159, 6161, and 6157) are enacted in the 101st Legislature.
