Requires the Michigan Department of Natural Resources to notify the state senate and house of representatives in writing within 24 hours after issuing an emergency order suspending mining operations or requiring corrective actions.

Emergency orders remain in effect for no more than 21 days and can be issued without a public hearing when the department finds emergency action is required to protect public health, safety, welfare, or the environment.

Clarifies department authority to revoke mining permits, suspend operations, or require response actions when violations cause imminent and substantial endangerment to public health, safety, environment, or natural resources.

Maintains existing requirements that the department provide written notice and an opportunity for an evidentiary hearing before suspending operations or revoking permits, except in emergency situations.

Updates language in the statute from "such" to "the" and corrects capitalization of "Constitution" for consistency and clarity.
