Requires each intermediate school district board to employ at least 1 emergency and safety manager and at least 1 mental health coordinator.

Emergency and safety manager must serve as liaison between state agencies, emergency management officials, and schools; implement school safety prevention programs; conduct risk assessments; coordinate with law enforcement on threat reports; and compile school safety performance data.

Mental health coordinator must coordinate state mental health funding for students, integrate community mental health services, facilitate behavioral health assessment teams, deploy the BH-Works behavioral health platform, and recruit mental health providers for schools.

Mental health coordinator also required to compile behavioral health outcome data, provide training and professional development, oversee Medicaid billing and the Caring for Students (C4S) program, and connect schools with health centers and social service agencies.

Bill takes effect only if House Bill 6326 and House Bill 6329 are also enacted into law.
