MI HB6385

Creates the Upper Peninsula Natural Resources Commission composed of members appointed by the governor with senate advice and consent, including one representative from each Upper Peninsula House member, two from each Upper Peninsula Senate member, and two from a joint list submitted by all legislators.

Sets commission member terms at 2 years with replacement appointments made by the governor for any vacancies, requiring no more than half of commission members to be from the same political party.

Provides commission members with no compensation but allows reimbursement for actual and necessary expenses incurred in performing official duties.

Grants the commission authority to issue orders or promulgate rules regarding taking of game or sport fish with impact only on the Upper Peninsula or with no significant impact outside the Upper Peninsula.

Becomes effective only upon enactment of House Bills 6386, 6384, 6383, and 6387.
